In summer 2005 Lakewood church moved into Houston's 17,000 Compaq Arena. Joel did not attend a seminary and never preached a sermon until the death of his father. Osteen died in 1999, his son Joel succeeded him. This is the belief that we can either create or change our reality by the power of our words.
